The Family Support Group in conjunction with Headrest
For Friends and Family of Loved Ones Experiencing Addiction This support group, facilitated by people in recovery, is for friends and family members who are struggling to cope with a loved one’s addiction. We know that addiction is stressful, painful and confusing for those close to the alcoholic/addict, and who understands the complexities of addiction better than those who experienced it? We offer a unique perspective on addiction from firsthand experience. Through sharing our personal stories of failure and success, we believe we can inspire hope while providing an honest and insightful perspective on how to approach addiction effectively. Our goal is to educate and equip families with the tools they need to confidently make decisions to support recovery in both the family and the addicted loved one. Group members will have the opportunity to hear the experiences of addicts/alcoholics in recovery, ask questions, participate in discussion or simply just listen.
