There will soon be a new place to buy breakfast and lunch in Norwich. Amber Boland plans to open The Blue Sparrow Kitchen this Spring. It will be located in Norwich Square in the former home of Alice's Kitchen, Allechante and Norwich Square Café and will have seating for 17.
It will be open weekdays from 6:30 am - 5:00 pm. Boland has yet to determine what the weekend hours will be. The Blue Sparrow Kitchen will offer espresso drinks, fresh fruit smoothies, fresh citrus juices, milkshakes and ice cream. There will also be breakfast sandwiches, muffins and scones, soups, salads and sandwiches. The menu will feature regular items and daily specials. Boland plans to serve moderately priced food that - to the extent possible - is seasonably based and locally sourced. People will be able to order on-line to pick up, and eventually Boland hopes to offer catering services. Boland also hopes to get approval to serve craft beer and wine.
