Here are some ideas
for you to try out that are all inside so you enjoy them year round!
Painting at Tip Top Pottery - White River Junction, VT
Cost: $9 adults $7 kids to use the studio, which doesn’t include buying the pottery which ranges from $3 to $50.
Hours: Closed on Mon. Open Tues. 12 pm - 8 pm, 10 am - 6 pm Wed. and Sat. Thurs. 10 am - 10 pm, Fri. 10 am to 9 pm.
Location: In the same plaza as the Upper Valley Coop right after the light that goes to Hartford. Plenty of parking.
This would be a great family activity to do for all ages! Paint a cat, a cup, or even a dinosaur! Sign me up!
Fun Mill USA – Claremont, NH
Wed- Sat 4 – 9 pm, Sun noon to 6 pm
Location: Located in the Time Out Grill Building on Mulberry Street. It's a large brick industrial building.

Family Fun Zone - Claremont, NH
Cost: $10 per child – open to adults to use too
Hours: Wed. – Sun 12 pm – 7 pm
Location: On Pleasant Street in the business that used to be the Family Dollar.
There are 5 inflatable bounce houses and video games too. Hanover also has a bounce house open Monday and Thursdays at Black River Recreation from 10 - 2:30 for kids ages 0- kindergarten. They're closed on winter breaks and major holidays. $3 per child.
Great View Roller Skating - Enfield, NH
Cost: General admission $8, Skate rental $3
Hours: Weekends 1-4 pm and weekend nights 7-10 pm
Location: Right off Route 4 in Enfield.

Climbing wall at River Valley Club - Lebanon, NH
Cost: $20 (if you're not a member)
Hours: Monday through Thursday from 5:30 to 8:30 pm
Location: Behind Lebanon Coop - take the road that loops around the coop and you'll see signs for the River Valley Club.
They have open climbing hours for anyone age 13 and up for. I went and had so much fun!
Upper Valley Aquatic Center - White River Junction, VT
Cost: Day pass: Youth 3-18 $7, Adults $15
Hours: 6:30 am – 8 pm Sat, and Sun 8 am to 6 pm
Location: 100 Arboretum Ln.
The aquatic center has a splash park which looks like fun for the whole family: a lazy river past waterfalls, interactive water features, and a speed slide.
Ice skating in Hartford, West Lebanon, or Woodstock, VT
Cost: $5 public skate
Hours: Oct – March Sat 4-5:15, Sun 3:45 to 5:15
Location: 431 Highland Ave. Hartford, VT
Cost: $6 adult, Child or Senior $5, under 3 free
Hours: Mon. and Thurs. 12 – 1:30 Wed. 11- 12:30
Location: Route 120 in West Lebanon NH next to Sachem Field
Cost: Adults $6, Kids 5-14 and seniors $5, Children under 4 free, skate rentals
Hours: public skate hours unknown
Location: 80 Amsden Way, Woodstock, VT
Ice skating is fun year round. Make sure to check for open skate times as these rinks are often booked with local school sports and group sports leagues.
Bowling in Claremont, NH and Randolph, VT
Maple Lanes - Claremont, NH
Hours: Open 7 days until at least 8:30 each day opening times vary by day
Location: Maple Ave. in Claremont, NH
I've enjoyed bowling here as a kid and adult. They have an arcade too.
Valley Bowl - Randolph, VT
Cost: $3.50 per person per game shoe rentals $1.50
Hours: Open 7 days a week
Valley Bowl has moonlight bowling too and Sundays they have a special family and friends deal.
Museums in Norwich, VT and Quechee, VT
Montshire – Norwich
Cost: Adults $15, Children 2-17 $12, Children 2 and under free
Hours: Open 7 days, 10 am - 5 pm
Location: Right off Exit 13 off Interstate 91 in Norwich, take a sharp right at the end of the off ramp and follow the signs.
This has a lot of wonderful exhibits for children and teens of all ages.
VINS – Quechee
Cost: Adults $14.50, seniors $13.50, $12.50 for ages 4-7, and children under 3 free
Hours: Open 10 – 4/5 pm depending on the time of year.
Location: 6565 Woodstock Rd. - right off the Main Road in Quechee. Can't miss the signs.
For indoor fun you can see raptors and a forest exhibit. They also have a crawl space with a reading nook and puppet theatre for little ones.
